Build a robot arm, investigate a case of food-borne illness, using computer visualization, construct a physical model of a protein --  these are just some of the challenges for middle and high school students competing in the 2012 National Science Olympiad Tournament held on the campus of the University of Central Florida in Orlando on May 18-19.
