Cutting Edge: Wave research with Belinda Batten
Though still a relatively new player in the field of alternative energy, harnessing the power of waves for the production of electricity could play an important role in reducing our dependence on fossil fuels. Belinda Batten, director of the Northwest National Marine Renewable Energy Center, looks at new wave devices being developed and deployed in the waters off the coast of Oregon in AAAS's latest Cutting Edge lecture.
